Is It Burnout, or Just a Busy Season?

Seven questions from the work-related scale of the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory, a free and widely used research measure. Your answers stay in your browser. Nothing is sent or saved.

1Is your work emotionally exhausting?
2Do you feel burnt out because of your work?
3Does your work frustrate you?
4Do you feel worn out at the end of the working day?
5Are you exhausted in the morning at the thought of another day at work?
6Do you feel that every working hour is tiring for you?
7Do you have enough energy for family and friends during leisure time?

This is an educational self-check, not a diagnosis, and it does not create a clinician-patient relationship. Burnout often overlaps with depression, anxiety, and sleep problems, which are treatable; if your score is high or you feel stuck, talk with your doctor or a mental health clinician. If you are having thoughts of harming yourself, call or text 988.
